Bio
My interest in the musculoskeletal system started with my own experience as an athlete and has developed over the years as I cared for my grandmother with Parkinson’s Disease. Through my own research and fitness journey, I learned more about the connection between exercise, fitness, nutrition and our overall health. One of the reasons I love studying musculoskeletal health is that it brings together so many disciplines and ideas. The relationships between movement, exercise and neurodegenerative diseases, metabolic health, psychological health and wellbeing are all vital to our functioning and understanding of the human body and I am excited to be a part of a group of people interested in exploring the connection among these through shared experiences, research and ideas.
